Deepening relations between the Czech Republic and selected priority countries as part of bilateral development cooperation

This thesis deals with the deepening of relations between the Czech Republic and its priority countries (for the period 2006-2010) within the framework of Czech bilateral development cooperation. The main research question of the thesis is the influence of development cooperation on the expansion of cooperation between the Czech Republic and its priority countries. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the main assumptions concerning the deepening of cooperation are presented. The main theoretical framework is the spillover theory. The main hypotheses of this theory are presented and applied to the selected case. The observed areas in which cooperation is expected to increase are the political sphere, the economic sphere, culture sphere and the military sphere. For every sphere was chosen measurable indicator. Paired countries with comparable conditions were selected as priority countries. The conditions on the basis of which the countries are paired are comparable history, GDP per capita, population size and trade with the Czech Republic before the period under review. Possibilities of reinforcement of the mutual commercial cooperation between the Czech Republic and Mexico through ProMéxico

This Master´s thesis deals with the mutual commercial cooperation between the Czech Republic and Mexico, focusing on possibilities of its reinforcement through the state export agency ProMéxico. The first chapter of this thesis concentrates on the current trade cooperation between these countries and compares them in terms of economy, tactics of negotiation for reciprocal business and it also presents the successful Mexican companies operating on the Czech market. The second part describes the agency ProMéxico itself, its services, attitude to their clients and, in addition, it provides the benefits of ProMéxico when exporting to foreign markets. The objective of the third chapter is support of this commercial cooperation, it also analyses possibilities of reinforcement of the mutual business and offers an overview of promising industries for export in the Czech area. The last part presents the comprehensive analysis of the mediation process of mutual international cooperation between the Czech Republic and the Mexican company WajiroDream through ProMéxico. The thesis also includes a SWOT analysis of the Czech market and finally it contains practical recommendations to Mexican exporters for successful business undertaking in the Czech Republic.
Czech-Norwegian business cooperation with regards to cultural differences

The aim of this bachelor thesis is the analysis of business relations between the Czech Republic and Norway in terms of trade and cultural differences. The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter focuses on the general characteristic of Norway. The second chapter characterizes Norway from the economic point of view. The third chapter deals with the Czech-Norwegian business cooperation. The fourth chapter includes information about the specific Norwegian culture, cultural differences between the Czech Republic and Norway and business meetings with Norwegians. The fifth chapter is devoted to surveys with Czech businessmen who have experience with negotiations with Norwegian business partners.

Cultural and business characteristic of the business entities are described in details in the theoretical part. Practical part of thesis analyses the research done by depth interviews with entrepreneurs who have experience in doing business in Vietnam or with Vietnamese business partners.
Czech-saudiarabian business cooperation with consideration of cultural differences

The main objective of this bachelors's thesis is to analyse the mutual business cooperation between Czech republic and Saudi Arabia. I want to find out, what was the development of this cooperation in the past, what trend is typical for the present and based on this information I am able to determine, what development will be typical for the future. Also, I am going to focus on Arabic culture and I am going to try to find out, how this culture affects business cooperation. The thesis is dividend into four chapters. The first chapter is some kind of introduction of Saudi Arabia and is devoted to geographical and demographical figures, politico-legal arrangement, history of Saudi Arabia and membership of the country in the international and in the regional organizations. The second chapter is devoted to analysis of the economic situation in Saudi Arabia. I focus on the analysis of the main macroeconomic indicators, analysis of the individual sectors of economy and analysis of the international trade of Saudi Arabia. The third chapter is focused on the analysis of the business cooperation between the Czech republic and Saudi Arabia. In this chapter I apply to the development of the mutual cooperation, after that the analysis of the balance of the mutual trade follows, including the analysis of the czech export to Saudi Arabia and the other way around. In this chapter is also the part that is focused on the description of Czech entities operating in the markets of Saudi Arabia. In the last chapter I focus on the cultural specifications of Saudi Arabia, on their religion and the way of their life. This chapter includes also the analysis of Saudi Arabia based on the dimensions of Geert Hofstede or it includes also the part, which is devoted to influence of cultural differences on business cooperation.
Czech-Canadian business cooperation with regards to cultural differences

The aim of the thesis is the analysis of business relations between the Czech Republic and Canada in terms of trade and cultural differences. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first chapter presents Canada in terms of geography, demographic and describes the history of Canada. The second chapter focuses on the economic characteristics of the country, particularly macroeconomic indicators and international trade. The third chapter is devoted to Czech-Canadian business relations, the commodity structure of trade and industry perspective for Czech exports. The fourth chapter focuses on cultural diversity, knowledge of which is essential for business cooperation.

The second part describes the agency CzechTrade itself, its attitude to their clients and, in addition, this thesis provides information on the client's contentment of services rendered by CzechTrade. The objective of the third part is support of this commercial cooperation, it also analyses possibilities of reinforcement of the mutual business and offers an overview of promising industries on the mentioned market. The fourth chapter discloses the positive case of a Czech company in Mexico. The last section of the thesis includes a SWOT analysis of this market and finally it contains practical recommendations for successful business undertaking in Mexico.
